Long time since I wrote

Well have been very busy with some things at University. We had a presentation yesterday about our event that we are going to create and go through with....very excited about that. Presentation went great and my group is doing an awesome job. The name of the event is Destination Olympics so keep your eyes open for more information about that later. 

Anyway the 3rd of March until the 10th of March I was on a residential trip to Edinburgh with my lovely class. The purpose of the trip was for us to visit different tourist attractions such as Edinburgh Zoo, Royal Botanical Gardens, Edinburgh Castle, Ghost Tour, Royal yacht Britannia, Scottish Storytelling Centre and so on. We also had presentations about how they market these places and other presentations from Event Scotland and Marketing Edinburgh. The week was great, so interesting, learned a lot of new things. Also, had so much fun with my class....went out in the evenings and enjoyed Edinburgh. So of course not much sleep and early morning....I think I slept 12 hours two days in a row after I came back home. It was also cold in Edinburgh and I think all these things have now lead to that some of us in the class are sick :-( Oh well hopefully we all get better soon. Here are some photos from Edinburgh.

Lovely Sunny London

The weather has been lovely the last couple of days. I love London like this; it gives you a different view on the city...doesn't look that grey anymore. Went for a nice walk through Kensington, Hyde Park and Chelsea :-) Wish I could live there but hey that will never happen haha.

Peddle 2012m

So there is an event related to the Olympics at uni at the moment. There are two bikes set up in the quad (cafe area where everyone hangs out). And it is student against staff....we will win! The Olympic torch will stop at our University and it is exactly 2012 miles from Olympus to Hendon so, therefore, each person who gets on the bike should try to peddle for 2012 meter as fast as they can! We also have to get 2012 miles together....a lot of work! Today it is my turn to volunteer at the bike and will also try to peddle those 2012m. Wish me luck :-)

What good is marketing?

So working on an assignment now that won't even be graded....hmm not sure I like that but oh well. It is hard to get started with this, especially when the sun is shining and I just want to go outside and enjoy it. We have to write 600 words about "What good is marketing if people are not buying"; it is a very relevant question these days when the economy is as bad as it is. So how do companies market their products during recession? And how will this affect their brand image later? Will let you know my answer when I am done with the assignment :-)
